An Nguyen is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Center for Digital Innovation at Georgia State University. Her research interests focus on platform's strategy with regards to moderation and firm’s patenting activities. Before joining the program, An earned her MBA degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and worked for four years in Human Resource, Product Management, and co-founded a small business.
She will join The University of Texas at El Paso as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Fall 2026.

John Sudeep Teli
Advisors: Dr. Arun Rai
John Sudeep joined the Center for Digital Innovation as a Ph.D. Student in 2021. His research interests are at the frontier of Digital Technologies, Artificial Intelligence and Business Model Innovation. Prior to joining the Ph.D. program, He has a business degree from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM C) and has worked for IBM and Gartner in multiple roles.
He will join Texas State University as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Fall 2026.

Xinyuan Wei
Advisor: Dr. Arun Rai and Dr. Yusen Xia
Xinyuan [Co-Chair: Dr. Yusen Xia] entered the joint Ph.D. program offered by the Center for Digital Innovation and the Institute for Insight in 2022. Her primary research interests revolve around Artificial Intelligence, innovation, and online communities. Preceding her enrollment in this program, Xinyuan earned her master's degrees in Actuarial Science and Quantitative Risk Analysis & Management at GSU.

Jeongmin Kim
Advisor: Dr. Arun Rai
Jeongmin joined the Center for Digital Innovation as a Ph.D. student in 2022. His research interest lies in Artificial Intelligence, labor markets, and the future of work. Before joining the program, Jeongmin earned his Master’s degree in Management Engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).

Mouayed Lajnef
Advisor: Dr. Aaron Baird, Dr. Arun Rai, and Dr. Yusen Xia
Mouayed is currently a Ph.D student in the joint program offered by the Center for Digital Innovation and the Institute for Insight at Georgia State University from 2024. His current research interests include Health Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Hypothesis Generation.
Prior to joining the Ph.D program, Mouayed completed his Master in Data Science and Analytics from Georgia State University. Mouayed also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energies Engineering from the Mediterranean Institute of Technology in Tunisia.

Andy Yang

Andy joined the Center for Digital Innovation as a Ph.D. student in 2025. His research interests include policy, innovation, and text analytics. Before joining the program, Andy earned his BA in Math Statistics and MS in Commerce from the University of Virginia.

Zhuoli Feng
Advisor: Dr. Arun Rai and Dr. Yusen Xia
Zhuoli joined the joint PhD program offered by the Center for Digital Innovation and the Institute for Insight in 2025. Her research interests center on LLM agents and online communities. Before beginning her doctoral studies, Zhuoli worked at KPMG for three years and earned a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Bristol.
